Christopher Boyd

Christopher Boyd, the chief executive officer at Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, began his tenure at Sharp in September 2000. Prior to joining Sharp, Boyd was CEO and managing director of Inland Valley Regional Medical Center in Wildomar. Boyd had been at Inland Valley since 1997.

Since 1984, Boyd has held administrative positions in Oregon, Illinois, Washington and Louisiana. After graduating from St. John's University in Minnesota, he spent almost three years with the Peace Corps working in a mission hospital in Liberia, West Africa. Following the Peace Corps, he continued his education at the University of Minnesota and Tulane University where he received his master's degree in public health.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Boyd has a history of active community involvement, including memberships in the United Way, various chambers and rotaries, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, YMCA, Boy Scouts, American Heart Association and coaching youth soccer.
